What we keep, and why.

The Collective is a members' space. This is what it records, in plain language — and what it deliberately doesn't.

  1. 01

    Your account

To join you give an email address, a password and a display name. You can add a picture, a short bio and interests. Your email is used to sign you in and for messages about your account — confirmations and password resets. It is never shown to other members.
  2. 02

Email updates are a separate choice

Creating an account does not put you on a mailing list. You only get news about music, drops, events and new stories if you tick the box when you join or choose it on your profile. We record when you said yes and when you said no, and you can unsubscribe there any time.
  3. 03

What we record about activity on this site

To run the community, understand what people value here, improve the site and keep it safe, we keep a first-party record of activity on this site: pages visited, songs played in the site's own player, Vault items opened, journal pages read, streaming links followed, sign-ins, and the posts, replies and reactions you make. When you're signed in it's linked to your account; when you're not, to a random id kept in your browser.

These records don't contain your IP address or device details, and for links from other sites we keep only the site's name, not the full address. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the site doesn't record your page views, plays or reads at all — sign-ins and what you post are still part of your account.

  4. 04

    Where visitors come from

If you arrive through a tagged link (like ?ref=instagram or a utm_campaign), we keep that tag and the name of the site that linked you, so we can tell which places bring people here. It's kept with your first visit and, if you join or support, with that record.
  5. 05

    Support payments

Support is processed by Stripe on its own secure page; card details never reach this site. From Stripe we keep the amount, the date, the status, and the name and email you gave there, so Nunu can thank supporters and keep accurate records. Supporting never changes your engagement level or what you can see.
  6. 06

    Recovery and Release stay unprofiled

Visits to the Recovery page and to the Recovery and Release rooms are stored without any link to you or your browser. We can see that a room is active; we can't see who read what there, and we don't try to infer anything about anyone's health, addiction or recovery. What you choose to write in those rooms is stored like any post, and other members and moderators can read it.
  7. 07

    Who can see what

Other members see your display name, picture, bio, interests, Founding Member badge and what you post. Nunu and the site's admins can also see your email, when you joined, your email-update choice, a summary of your activity on this site and a simple engagement level (for example New, Returning or Core) based on how often you take part — never on money, and never on what you read in Recovery or Release. Admins may keep private notes and tags (like “collaborator”) to help run the community. Members never see each other's emails, notes or activity.
  8. 08

    What we don't do

No advertising trackers, no selling or renting your information, no fingerprinting, no keystroke or mouse recording, no precise location. This site doesn't follow you around other websites.
  9. 09

    Services we rely on

The site runs on Vercel and Supabase, which process technical information such as IP addresses in their own logs to operate and secure the service. Vercel Web Analytics counts anonymous visits without cookies. Stripe processes support payments. Sign-up and sign-in forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to stop bots, and error reports may go to Sentry. Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube players, when shown, are provided by those companies and follow their own policies.
  10. 10

    Your choices

Change your profile or email preference any time on your profile. To ask what we hold about you, or to have your account and its records deleted, reach out to Nunu through The Collective or reply to any email we send you.
